The PACA Elementary Principal is the instructional and learning leader for the PACA Elementary school, grades K through 5, creating a positive, safe, Christ-centered learning climate and culture that is consistent with the school’s educational philosophy so that students meet the Elementary School (K-5th) curricular learning standards and achieve, in developmentally appropriate ways, the school learning outcomes as articulated in Board Ends Policy and reflected in Expected Student Outcomes. The Elementary Principal inspires and develops the elementary school faculty to effectively bring students to think deeply and critically about the world around them, while also building close-knit relationships that open doors to sharing God’s love and truth.
Requirements
Experience:
A minimum of three years of elementary school teaching experience
Prior role(s) as coordinator (ex., accreditation, activities, curriculum, guidance) preferred
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Education
ACSI Elementary Principal certificate
A well-developed understanding of and commitment to Christian education
Unreserved agreement with PACA’s Statement of Faith and its foundational documents
A thorough understanding of adolescent students and the teaching-learning process
Effective leadership in developing a team to accomplish organizational goals
Preferred/Helpful: An understanding of the unique challenges inherent to living and ministering in a cross-cultural setting, with a demonstrable respect for others of different cultures. Capacity in the Portuguese language preferred
Skills:
Superior communication skills
Ability to conceptualize and execute strategic plans
Capacity to interact confidently and effectively with administrative colleagues, staff, students, and parents, both in person and in written form
Working knowledge of curriculum mapping software, Google Apps, Microsoft Office
