Immediate opening for 5th/6th Multigrade classroom teacher. (10 students in the class - previous teacher has not had her VISA renewed.)
JOB TITLE: ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER
JOB PURPOSE: PREPARES STUDENTS FOR MEANINGFUL LIVES by contributing to their educational, social, and spiritual development. This will assist MVCS in fulfilling the mission of the school, which is to provide a sound, effective educational program that is well- integrated with Biblical principles directed toward the end that children may occupy their places worthily in community, church, state, . . . the world.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS
1. ESTABLISHES AND ADJUSTS COURSE OUTLINES AND OBJECTIVES by following curriculum guidelines and the school’s goals; modifying plans based on student diagnostic and assessment procedures.
2. CONVEYS INFORMATION TO STUDENTS by using language concepts, examples, demonstrations, and teaching aids, such as audiovisual equipment and computers.
3. COMPLETES EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS by scheduling and assigning instructional activities; following up on results.
4. ASSESSES STUDENT LEARNING by preparing, administering, and scoring tests; reviewing and correcting assignments; eliciting student questions and responses; evaluating application of learning to classroom project results.
5. MAINTAINS STUDENT LEARNING RESULTS
By providing instructional feedback; coaching, counseling, and disciplining students; planning, monitoring, and appraising learning results.
6. MAINTAINS RECORDS by documenting learning accomplishments, attendance, grades, and behavior.
7. GUIDES STUDENTS' PERSONAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT by establishing rules and procedures for administrative matters, student verbal participation, and student movement within the classroom, between classrooms, and on the playground.
8. HELPS PARENTS
by providing academic information; suggesting available educational and social resources; addressing parents' concerns; answering questions and requests.
9. COMPLIES WITH FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LEGAL REQUIREMENTS by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising school administration on needed actions.
10. MAINTAINS PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE by attending educational workshops; pursues and maintains certification; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
11. MAINTAINS SAFE AND CLEAN WORKING ENVIRONMENT by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
12. CONSERVES RESOURCES by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish educational results.
13. CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT by accomplishing related results as needed.
14. CONTRIBUTES TO SCHOOL SYSTEM'S EFFECTIVENESS by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
15. CONTRIBUTES TO SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE PROGRAMS by example, instruction, personal and professional studies, and personal devotions and worship.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. He/she is a spiritual, mature, born-again Christian who regularly attends a Bible- believing church.
2. He/she is called and committed to the ministry of MVCS. Staff members here do not regard their responsibilities as just a job, but as a ministry. Each of us feels a high sense of commitment to the Lord and His calling on our lives to be here for these children and parents.
3. There is evidence of competency in their field. Teachers should possess, at the minimum, a bachelor’s degree. Preference is given to those who hold a Masters. Each teacher, whether an elementary or secondary teacher, must be a qualified teacher with experience and the necessary background training.
4. Teacher licensure or certification in the area of assignment is preferred. The candidate should hold a state license and/or be certified through Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Candidates willing to pursue a state license and/or ACSI certification will be considered.
