Description
Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM) is seeking an Assistant Head of School for our K-12 ministry for the 2026-27 school year. MVCS was founded in 1974 and currently has an enrollment of 430 students. MVCS is accredited by the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS) and is recognized by the State of New Mexico as an accredited K-12 school.
The Assistant of School (AHoS) works closely with the HoS, faculty, staff, and Board of Trustees to ensure that the mission of MVCS is moved forward. Typical AHoS duties include assisting with faculty and staff supervision, serving on several board level committees, leadership in campus life such as student discipline, chapel, retreats, and student activities - as examples. The HoS and AHoS also serve in support and supervision of the Athletic Director and Director of Fine Arts.
Requirements
MA in school administration or related field, a clear commitment to Christian schooling, minimum of 3-5 years teaching in a K-12 Christian school, testimony of faith that aligns with MVCS, active involvement with like-minded local church.
The AHoS is a fulltime, exempt position that provides a competitive compensation package including health and dental coverage, Long Term Disability, 403b retirement, and tuition waivers to attend MVCS.
