Wayne Christian Academy is a Christ-centered PreK-12th grade school located in Jesup, GA, dedicated to providing an excellent education rooted in biblical truth. Our mission is to nurture students academically, spiritually, and physically so that they may grow to impact the world for Christ. We are not sponsored by a local church, instead are independently governed by a school board comprised of parents and members of our community.
Position Overview:
WCA is seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher & Athletic Director who is excited about both Christian education and proficient in teaching middle and/or high school classes along with managing a growing athletic program. Our sports program is young and full of potential, making this position a unique opportunity for someone who desires to build and lead a Christ-centered athletic department as well as influence students in the classroom.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a classroom teacher in a subject area aligned with qualifications
- Oversee the planning, organization, and development of the school’s athletic programs
- Coach one or more sports (specific assignments will depend on experience and school needs)
- Recruit, mentor, and develop coaches and student-athletes who exemplify Christian character
- Ensure athletic programs support and enhance the mission of Wayne Christian Academy
- Manage scheduling, budgeting, facilities, and equipment for athletics
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and integrity on and off the field
