Position Summary
The Bible Department Chair & Bible Teacher at Trinity Academy provides spiritual and academic leadership by ensuring excellence, alignment, and theological integrity within the Bible department. This dual-role position advances Trinity Academy’s mission by shepherding students and supporting faculty, overseeing biblical instruction, and cultivating a Christ-centered culture that integrates faith and learning across the academic and extracurricular life of the school.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Spiritual Leadership

- Provide spiritual leadership consistent with Trinity Academy’s mission, core values, and statement of faith
- Serve as a visible and trusted spiritual presence on campus, fostering a culture of Christlike character and biblical worldview
- Model a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ in conduct, teaching, and relationship
- Encourage students toward biblical understanding, faith maturity, and Christlike character
- Assist in spiritual life interviews for prospective faculty as part of Trinity Academy’s hiring process
Instruction & Curriculum Leadership

- Teach the Life of Christ Bible course at the secondary level
- Assist with the implementation and continued development of Trinity Academy’s Senior Capstone course
- Lead curriculum development and review to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment across grades 6–12
- Ensure biblical instruction aligns with Trinity Academy’s theological commitments, academic standards, and educational philosophy
- Recommend, evaluate, and support the adoption of Bible curriculum resources, texts, and instructional materials
Faculty Leadership & Development

- Lead Bible department meetings, collaborative planning, and curriculum alignment efforts
- Mentor, coach, and support Bible faculty through observation, feedback, and professional development
- Assist administration with the hiring, onboarding, and evaluation of Bible teachers
- Promote instructional excellence, unity, and theological consistency within the Bible department
Assessment & Accreditation Support

- Develop and oversee assessment practices for Bible courses
- Support accreditation processes (e.g., ACSI) related to biblical instruction and spiritual formation
- Maintain documentation related to curriculum, student outcomes, and departmental goals
Community & Family Engagement

- Clearly articulate Trinity Academy’s Bible curriculum and spiritual formation goals to prospective and current families
- Represent Trinity Academy at community, church, and ministry events as appropriate
Requirements
Required
- A clear, personal profession of faith in Jesus Christ and evidence of a growing relationship with Him
- Agreement with and commitment to Trinity Academy’s statement of faith and mission
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Biblical Studies, Ministry, Education, or a related field
- Experience in Christian education, pastoral ministry, or secondary teaching
- Demonstrated leadership ability in both spiritual and organizational contexts
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Theology, Ministry, Biblical Studies, or Education
- Ordination or formal ministry credentialing
- Experience in a large Christian school or comparable ministry context
- Previous department chair, team leadership, or supervisory experience

- Ability to collaborate effectively with administration, faculty, students, and families
