Nebraska Christian Schools is a fully accredited K-12 school serving nearly 300 students in Central City, Nebraska.
Our mission is to partner with families and the church to provide a Christ-centered education, equip students with a
biblical worldview, and cultivate a growing love for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Nebraska Christian Schools has a thriving International Student Program, and we are currently seeking a Christian
married couple to serve as Dorm Parents for a high school International/American boys’ dorm. Dorm parent
applicants must be committed Christ-followers with a genuine love for students. Our International students represent
five different countries and attend Nebraska Christian to immerse themselves in American culture, strengthen their
English skills, and pursue admission to American universities.
Because our International Student Program is driven by the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16–20), this role is a
unique ministry opportunity for a couple who sense God’s calling to invest deeply in students’ lives for eternity.
Dorm parents need to love, supervise, care for, encourage, disciple, and lead students while fostering a safe,
structured, and family-like environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating a Christ-centered home atmosphere for both international and American students
- Following established dorm guidelines
- Supporting students academically and helping them stay on track. The ability to assist students with high
school-level academics is important. - Building meaningful relationships through daily interaction and encouragement
- Previous experience working with youth in a church, camp, school, or ministry setting is helpful.
Additional Details:
- In addition to the salary, room, board, and insurance are provided. Benefits vary from $25-30k.
- Furnished apartment and meals provided during the school year
- Reporting begins two weeks before the school year starts and concludes two weeks after it ends
- Opportunity to remain on campus during the summer if desired
- Background checks and strong references required
