Position Overview
Grace Christian School is seeking a creative, strategic, and mission-driven Communications Director to oversee all aspects of internal and external communication. The Communications Director will help share the story of what God is doing at Grace Christian School, promote our mission, and ensure consistent, professional communication across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communication
Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with the school’s mission and vision.
Maintain consistent brand messaging across all print, digital, and social media channels.
Collaborate with administrators, faculty, and staff to support communication needs across departments.
Marketing and Public Relations
Manage the school’s website, newsletters, and social media presence.
Coordinate photography, videography, and other media to highlight school events and achievements.
Design and produce marketing materials, advertisements, and press releases to promote enrollment and community engagement.
Oversee digital marketing campaigns, including email and social media advertising.
Community and Media Relations
Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries.
Develop positive relationships with local media, churches, and community partners.
Support communication needs for admissions, development, and alumni relations.
Internal Communication
Ensure timely and effective communication with parents, students, faculty, and staff.
Oversee production of internal newsletters, announcements, and event promotions.
Assist in planning and communication for school events, such as open houses, graduations, and fundraisers.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in communications, preferably in education, ministry, or nonprofit environments.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with social media platforms, website CMS, email marketing, and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Commitment to the mission and values of Grace Christian School and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
