Cedarville University invites applicants for the Director of Dual Enrollment Academics, who provides leadership for the academic operations and quality of the University’s Dual Enrollment programs, including Traditional Dual Enrollment and the Christian School Partnership. This role partners closely across academic units to coordinate courses, manage enrollment capacity, support faculty and adjuncts, ensure course readiness, and oversee assessment and data that support academic excellence and student success. This is a full-time, exempt role (2080 annual hours).
This position is budgeted for the 2026–27 fiscal year with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Represents Cedarville University with professionalism and discretion while building and maintaining effective relationships with faculty, staff, Dual Enrollment students and families, and Christian school partners.
Plans, coordinates, and manages Dual Enrollment academic course offerings across all modalities (online, on-campus, and Christian School Partnership), including section creation, scheduling, modality selection, and academic capacity planning.
Collaborates with the Academic Division, Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), and Information Technology to ensure timely course shell creation, Canvas configuration, instructional quality standards, and resolution of academic technology issues.
Works with academic departments to recruit, onboard, train, and support faculty and adjunct instructors teaching Dual Enrollment and Christian School Partnership courses; serves as primary academic liaison for instructional questions and scheduling considerations.
Develops, documents, and communicates academic policies, teaching expectations, instructional resources, and compliance requirements for Dual Enrollment and Christian School Partnership instructors, including CCP-related guidelines.
Oversees academic operations for Christian School Partnership courses, including coordination with partner school administrators, training of local facilitators and teachers, maintenance of the Christian School Partnership Academic Handbook, and alignment of assessment and communication practices.
Monitors and evaluates academic performance and program effectiveness using student success and course outcome data; implements continuous improvement strategies, collaborates with advising leadership, and performs other duties as assigned.
Supports growth initiatives, including but not limited to Christian high school events and school site visits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
Previous advising, student service, higher education, secondary education, or similar experiences required; recent substantive interactions with high school administrators, students, and families very helpful, as is professional experience with government rules and regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and learning management systems, as well as an adeptness in developing competence in browser-based applications.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; comfortable working under pressure created by deadlines.
REQUIRED MENTAL/PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Must be able to receive, exchange, and record detailed information professionally through both written and oral communication.
Must be able to express and exchange ideas clearly and effectively with awareness of and sensitivity to the needs of the receiver.
Must be able to use the telephone and other current technology effectively as a primary means of developing and maintaining a successful relationship with the assigned advisees.
Must be able to make repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers or be able to use adaptive technology that accomplishes such.
Must be able to lead, communicate, relate, and/or interact effectively with various audiences within the 7-12 grade, high school faculty and administration, or higher education environment in both general and difficult situations.
Must be able to view, discern, interpret, and respond with effectiveness and wisdom to non-verbal communication cues.
Must be able to function effectively in an office setting as well as be available to conduct business electronically at times most beneficial to the advisee, which may be in the evenings or on weekends.
