Bilingual Early Childhood Director

Charleston Bilingual Academy – North Charleston, SC
Charleston Bilingual Academy (CBA) is seeking a Bilingual Early Childhood Director to lead and grow our Spanish, play-based early childhood program, which serves as a foundational feeder into our K–12 Christ-centered bilingual school.
This is a full-time leadership position overseeing a half-day early childhood program, with additional responsibilities that support program development, staff leadership, and family engagement.

Position Overview
The Bilingual Early Childhood Director provides vision, leadership, and daily oversight for our Early Childhood program (ages 2–5). This individual ensures excellence in academics, culture, and faith formation while aligning the program with CBA’s mission and long-term K–12 pathway.
Qualifications
Required
Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
Personal and active commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with CBA’s Statement of Faith
Experience in early childhood education (teaching and/or leadership)
Strong organizational, communication, and relational skills
Preferred
Prior experience as a director, assistant director, or lead teacher
Knowledge of play-based, developmentally appropriate practices
Experience in bilingual, Christian, or independent school settings
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Program Schedule: Half-Day (Director role includes full-time leadership responsibilities)

Program Leadership & Vision
Be a Spiritual Leader on the EC Campus
Oversee the continual development of the high-quality, Spanish-immersion, play-based Early Childhood program
Ensure alignment with CBA’s Christ-centered mission and K–12 continuum
Oversee curriculum implementation, scope, and developmental appropriateness
Champion a joyful, safe, and nurturing learning environment
Staff Leadership & Development
Supervise, mentor, and support Early Childhood teachers and assistants
Lead staff devotions, meetings, coaching conversations, and professional development
Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and spiritual growth
Family & Community Engagement
Serve as a primary point of contact for Early Childhood families
Build strong relationships through communication, conferences, and events
Support enrollment, onboarding, and family retention efforts
Operations & Administration
Oversee daily operations of the Early Childhood program
Collaborate with the Head of School and leadership team on scheduling, staffing, and budgeting
Ensure compliance with licensing, safety, and school policies
