Job Description
Bayshore Christian School is seeking a highly organized and skilled individual to join our team as the Director of Preschool and Lower Division. Working with the administrative team, your role will involve overseeing the curriculum, student discipline, and employee management within the preschool and lower division. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of administrative leadership within the school context. This position requires effective communication and collaboration with staff, parents, and the school community.
Job Responsibilities
Manages Preschool and Lower Division faculty, providing clear expectations for teacher and student success.
Provides and coordinates professional development opportunities teachers.
Establishes and maintains professional standards for faculty and entire school staff.
Evaluates and responds to student’s academic and social-emotional growth.
Communicates clearly with parents and school faculty/staff on the progress of individual students.
Exhibit and encourage Christian characteristics that are outlined in the Faculty and Staff Handbook.
Essential Duties
Working with teachers, coordinate, review, implement and maintain K5 through 5th grade curriculum.
Assist with observations, mentoring and evaluations.
Facilitate preschool and lower division weekly chapel services.
Review and communicate progress reports and report cards, addressing learning gaps in consort with faculty.
Assist in planning and execution of preschool and lower division extra-curricular activities.
Participate in other duties as an administrative team member.
Requirements
- Demonstrated spiritual maturity.
- Professing born-again Christian.
- Regular attendance at a Christian church for spiritual growth.
- Master’s degree majoring in Education or equivalent relevant experience.
- Florida Teaching Certificate
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient use of technology.
- Planning and organizational skills.
