Description
Christian Community Schools (CCS) in White House, Tennessee, seeks a Christ centered Early Childhood Director to provide spiritual, academic, and operational leadership for the early childhood program. CCS serves approximately 950 students across preschool, K-12, and a homeschool umbrella program.
The Early Childhood Director leads the early childhood program with a clear commitment to CCS mission and biblical worldview, ensuring developmentally appropriate practice, excellent classroom culture, strong staff performance, and safe, well managed operations. The Early Childhood Director provides leadership that ensures excellence in early learning, faithful biblical integration, strong family partnership, staff development, regulatory compliance, and wise stewardship of program resources. The Director serves as a key leader for the preschool entry point of CCS, helping establish a foundation of spiritual formation, school readiness, and a strong connection between families and the CCS community.
Requirements
Required Spiritual Qualities
- Profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and seek to live as His disciple
- Affirm and support the Bible as the inspired, authoritative Word of God
- Support the CCS Statement of Faith
- Model Christlike character in attitude, speech, decisions, relationships, and leadership
- Actively participate in a local Bible believing church
Required Education and Credentials
- Hold a BA degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development from an accredited postsecondary institution or hold ACSI Early Education Director certification or is willing to complete the requirements for certification within a specified time period
- Complete the ACSI Principles and Practices of Christian Early Education course requirements within the first year of employment
- Infant and child CPR and first aid certification, or ability to obtain during onboarding
Required Experience
- Minimum of five years of successful experience in early childhood education
- Demonstrated leadership experience through supervision, coaching, team leadership, or administration, preferably within an early childhood setting
Required Competencies
- Deep knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practice, as well as early childhood licensing compliance
- Strong leadership, organizational, problem solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a Christian school early childhood program
- Familiarity with biblical integration and spiritual formation practices for early learners
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives or accreditation preparation
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Regular engagement in classrooms, outdoor spaces, and office settings
- Supervise children and staff throughout the facility, during arrival/dismissal, and events
- Ability to lift and carry classroom materials and supplies consistent with early childhood operations, including lifting up to thirty pounds as needed
- Occasional evening or weekend responsibilities for family events, enrollment events, and staff development as scheduled
