Description

Santiago Christian School seeks a dynamic, native English speaker with a degree in Elementary Education and U.S. state teacher certification/licensure, and evidence of an evangelical Christian faith commitment. Candidates must be relationally focused and have the necessary skills to work in a team-based, professional learning community. Successful candidates also understand or have experience with English as a Second Language immersion strategies in the classroom. Basic understanding of Spanish is helpful, but not required. The ideal candidate loves students, loves Jesus, and is committed to academic excellence.  

SCS provides an English-immersion, PK to grade 12 education recognized by universities in the Dominican Republic, the U.S., and around the world. The curriculum takes students down a path of excellent college preparation while ultimately serving a much higher purpose: formando personas íntegras (forming people of integrity), students who follow Jesus, employing their character, wisdom, and influence to shape the nation. SCS pays an adequate wage for local living and provides generous benefits. We understand that moving to a new country is both a sacrifice and an adventure. To help with the transition, SCS offers significant support. Initial commitments are for three years and then renewable annually.
