Position Overview:
Lehigh Christian Academy (LCA) provides a quality education that is Christ-centered to approximately 280 PK-12 students. LCA serves Christian families from a variety of denominations throughout Lehigh Valley. We believe there is a strong relationship between the church, school, and home. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for student learning in a Christ-centered environment and passionately coach and inspire teachers in the school’s mission. This individual will actively collaborate with the leadership team, faculty, and staff to instill the following virtues and characteristics as outlined in LCA’s Portrait of the graduate:

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support faculty in implementing an engaging, high-quality Christ-centered curriculum across PK-5 grade levels.
- Organize and manage daily schedules, including morning duties and field trip logistics.
- Foster a collaborative environment between the elementary and secondary divisions, encouraging teamwork across divisions.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers for lesson planning and student management, ensuring they feel valued as part of the team.
- Facilitate Professional Learning Communities (PLCS) that enhance teacher development and collaboration.
- Collaborate with the Learning Support Coordinator for inclusive classrooms of students with learning needs and disabilities.
- Maintain effective communication with the Host Church, Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, and the broader community, reinforcing our partnership in ministry and facility usage.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to support school operations and events.
- Pursue regular professional development in educational management.
- Shepherd student discipline with a focus on Biblical conflict resolution and character development, using principles from Ted Tripp’s Shepherding a Child’s Heart.
- Adapt to various challenges and manage crises effectively while being accessible to staff and students, including emergency readiness plans.
- Represent the school positively and enthusiastically at school events.
- Thoughtfully integrate technology to support teaching and learning.
Requirements
Qualifications and Required Skills:
- Master’s Degree in Education, Teaching or a related field is required.
- 5+ years of Christian school teaching experience at the elementary level is required.
- 3+ years of experience in administration or a leadership role, such as a lead teacher, in a Christian school is required.
- State and/or ACSI teaching and/or principal certification is preferred.
- Knowledge and passion for Christian education.
- Agreement with and willing to sign the Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct, while also submitting personal Christian testimony, are required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent educational management and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a leadership team including Head of School, Community Engagement Coordinator, Business Manager, Secondary Principal, Learning Support Coordinator, and IT Director.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution with strong commitment to Biblical application following Matthew 18.
- Familiarity with key technologies for educational management (Renweb, Atlas Rubicon, Google Classroom, etc..) and thoughtful integration of technology in the classroom, working in collaboration with the IT Director and faculty.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods working at a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to move throughout the campus quickly and bend and/or lean to adjust your height to young children when giving instruction or discipline.
- Must be able to walk long periods of time throughout the building.
