Job Title: Teacher, Kindergarten to 8th Grade
Position Reports To: Principal/Administrator
Terms of Employment: Annual Contract
Responsibilities: The teacher agrees to focus on creating an educational environment conducive to learning. Besides staying on top of the curriculum, the teacher shall perform the following duties and responsibilities:
Ensuring student safety and welfare
Managing behavior in the classroom, on school grounds, and during field trips
Maintaining the records of students’ presence in the school daily
Ensuring equitable treatment of all students
Promoting the Christian values, self-esteem, independence, and self-discipline in students
Following lesson plans that meet top-notch education standards
Evaluating student progress and assisting the administrator with reporting the same to parents during PTMs
Covering the syllabus with students to ensure understanding
Giving home assignments regularly and ensuring timely completion
Preparing classroom materials, such as notes and following lesson plans
Reporting any issues or complaints to the administrative authorities
Terms of Employment:
Required background check
First Aid/CPR Certification
Agreement with Statement of Faith, Mission, Vision, and Values
Work Week and Hours: Dependent upon the need. Generally, weekdays between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM.
Required: Associate's Degree or equivalent professional experience
Preferred: Two years teaching or ministry experience at the elementary level Current State Teaching License or Teaching Certification ACSI certification
Compensation: Based on Experience and Education
