Description

We are seeking an early elementary teacher who will nurture a classroom and school culture with our core values of Love, Integrity, Faith, and Excellence (LIFE), both by personal example and instruction.  S/he will have a love for God that overflows in Christlike love for children, will share our educational philosophy of a hands-on approach to instruction, and will inspire a love of learning.

LIFE School's teachers are expected to use an educational approach that fosters the intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development of the students from a biblical perspective. Teachers are responsible for instruction in core academic subjects and Bible within a general education, English immersion classroom of up to 18 students.  S/he is expected to reflect the attitude of Christ in all interactions with students and peers.

General Qualifications

• A deep commitment to Jesus Christ through a personal relationship with Him
• A calling to ministry in and through education
• Effective oral and written communication

Professional Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Education or subject-related field (required)
• Teaching certification (preferred)
• ESL training or experience (preferred)
• Hold or be willing to obtain a current ACSI certificate or equivalent training in Biblical integration and worldview
