Description
The policy-governance Board is seeking a spiritually mature, visionary, and skilled Executive Director to lead LIFE International School. This individual will be charged with the responsibility of providing Christ-centered leadership in all areas: spiritual formation, academics, operations, staff development, community relations, and strategic growth.
The Executive Director is accountable to the Board of LIFE International School. The Executive Director serves as the crucial link between the Board and all school operations and is charged with leading the school according to Biblical principles and fulfilling the LIFE mission through the policies and parameters established in the LIFE Policy Governance Manual.
Requirements
Spiritual Leadership
- Grow the Christ-centered culture among staff, students, and families.
- Faithful in prayer.
- Lead by example in Christian grace, love, service, and kindness; evidencing the Fruit of the Spirit.
Governance and Board Relations
- Serve as the bridge between the LIFE Board and the school community.
- Provide regular reports to the Board and assist with strategic planning and policy implementation.
- Ensure that Board decisions and policies are effectively communicated and carried out within the school
Operational Oversight
- Organize and manage the administrative team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain a culture of collaboration, efficient communication and decision-making.
- Develop and oversee student services and academic programs aligned with the school’s mission.
Personnel Management
- Oversee HR to recruit, hire, evaluate, and support all staff, ensuring alignment with LIFE’s mission and standards.
- Ensure a healthy and accountable work culture with clear expectations and regular reviews.
- Provide leadership development and ongoing professional growth opportunities.
Educational Programs
- Guide the Leadership Team in continued development of LIFE’s curriculum and co-curricular programs.
- Promote a culture of excellence, integrity, and Biblical character development.
- Foster innovation while maintaining academic standards and accreditation compliance.
Finance and Development
- Collaborate with the Finance Department to project, develop, and manage school budgets (to be approved by the Board).
- Oversee the school’s finances in collaboration with the Board and CFO.
- Assist with fundraising efforts and cultivate donor relationships.
Facilities and Campus Oversight
- Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and maintained to high standards.
- Maintain oversight of campus safety procedures and emergency protocols.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
School Culture & Community Engagement
- Build a joyful and inclusive community atmosphere through communication and collaboration.
- Forge supportive relationships with local city officials and community members
- Model and cultivate LIFE’s ethos: love, integrity, faith, and excellence.
