Description
Full and Part-time Tutors in the Ed Services Department
Community Christian School has an immediate openings for full and part-time middle and/or high school tutors from August 1, 2026 to June 1, 2027. Tutors are assigned according to applicant’s area of expertise, along with some possible resource classes. Requirements for this position are a Bachelor’s degree. Experience teaching and/or tutoring preferred. Applicant must also be available Monday-Friday between 7:45-3:15, and be willing to apply for and work towards ACSI certification. A current State of Florida Teaching Certificate is also acceptable in lieu of ACSI certification. Requirements
Faculty Qualifications :
Committed Christian with a personal testimony of faith
Alignment with CCS mission and Statement of Faith
Bachelor’s degree in related field (Master’s preferred)
Teaching certification or ability to obtain certification
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Clear philosophy of Christian education
Active involvement in a local church
Willingness to work with faculty and administration in the continuous assessment and improvement of student progress, curriculum and teaching practices
Excellent academic background in content areas, written and verbal communication and mathematics
Ability to use technological tools appropriate to their employment area
Hold or willing to work towards certification with ACSI
Faculty Responsibilities:
Develop engaging, standards-based lesson plans
Integrate Biblical worldview into instruction
Maintain clear communication with parents
Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development
Support CCS mission and core values
