Overview
The Head of School is responsible for leading the mission and vision of Grand County Christian Academy, ensuring academic excellence, spiritual discipleship, and operational effectiveness. This individual will provide strategic leadership, oversee faculty and staff, and cultivate a Christ-centered learning environment that nurtures students academically and spiritually.
Qualifications
- A committed Christian with a strong personal faith willing to become actively involved in Winter Park Christian Church.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education, Educational Leadership, or Administration. Master's degree desired.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in school leadership, preferably in a Christian or private school setting.
- Strong understanding of Christian education philosophy and curriculum development.
- Experience with school accreditation processes and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities
- Organizational Leadership: Inspire all stakeholders (students, parents, teachers, staff, church leadership, donors, and general community) toward fulfillment of the mission and vision of the school and strive for excellence in every aspect of the school.
- Spiritual Leadership: Ensure a Biblical worldview is integrated into all aspects of education.
- Academic Oversight: Lead curriculum development, faculty training, and student achievement initiatives.
- Operational Management: Oversee budgeting, enrollment, and school policies in alignment with the Elders’ vision and GCCA Advisory Committee.
- Community Engagement: Build relationships with parents, local churches, and stakeholders to strengthen the school’s mission.
- Faculty and Staff Development: Recruit, mentor, and evaluate teachers and administrative staff to maintain high standards.
- Student Development: Foster a nurturing environment that supports students’ spiritual, academic, and personal growth.
Demonstrated Abilities
- Proven ability to lead and inspire faculty, staff, and students.
- Strong organizational and financial management skills.
- Experience in fundraising and donor relations to support school initiatives, coordinating with the GCCA Advisory Committee.
- Ability to mediate conflicts and exercise discipline consistent with the GCCA code of conduct.
- Effective public speaking and communication skills for engaging with various audiences.
