Description
Fellowship Christian Academy (FCA) is a growing K–8 Christian school with a thriving Preschool and Extended Care Ministries program. FCA exists “to educate students in a Christ-centered atmosphere growing their faith, knowledge, and character while equipping students and families to contribute to the greater good of the community through the spreading of the Gospel.”
We are seeking a Christ-centered, mission-driven Head of School to lead our school into its next season of growth, excellence, and spiritual impact.
The Head of School serves as the chief administrative and spiritual leader of FCA, providing vision, oversight, and direction for all school programs (Preschool–8th Grade). The HoS ensures FCA remains aligned with its mission, partners well with families and the church, and maintains high standards of academic, spiritual, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Mission & Spiritual Leadership
- Lead FCA in a manner that reflects biblical truth, Christlike character, and a heart for discipleship.
- Foster a positive, joyful, and spiritually vibrant culture for students, staff, and families.
- Ensure FCA remains mission-focused, Gospel-centered, and relationally strong.
Academic & Program Leadership
- Oversee all academic programs and instructional standards for Preschool–8th grade.
- Support faculty development, evaluation, and professional growth.
- Guide continued curriculum review, assessment cycles, and academic benchmarks.
- Ensure policies and practices align with ACSI accreditation standards.
Staff Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, supervise, and support school administrators, directors, teachers, and staff.
- Build a collaborative, professional, unified leadership culture.
- Lead hiring and staffing decisions with prayerful discernment.
- Operations & Organizational Leadership
- Oversee school safety, campus operations, schedules, and day-to-day systems.
- Provide leadership for enrollment, admissions, and family relations.
- Support facility planning and long-term growth initiatives.
Finance & Stewardship
- Partner with the church Finance Office and governing board to develop and manage the school budget.
- Promote financial health, transparency, and sustainable growth.
- Help lead fundraising, community engagement, and advancement initiatives when needed.
Board Partnership- Serve as the primary liaison between the school and the board.
- Provide regular updates, data, and recommendations to support board governance decisions.
- Implement board policies with fidelity and clarity.
Requirements
- A strong, mature Christian faith and active involvement in a local church.
- Agreement with FCA’s Statement of Faith and mission.
- Proven leadership experience in Christian education (Head of School, Principal, Assistant Head, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in education, leadership or administration preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with ACSI or similar accreditation is preferred but not required.
