Job Responsibilities:
Work in partnership with classroom and subject teachers to
- Help identify students with learning differences who require learning support
- Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students needing learning support
- Ensure that resources and materials support student learning
- Review achievement of IEP targets and set new targets
Work with individual students in one-on-one situations, small group settings, or whole class context (as appropriate) on specific aspects of subject development
Prepare and select suitable learning materials to provide access to mainstream curriculum/ including the development of differentiated resources
Support classroom and subject teachers and volunteers in utilizing learning strategies
Ensure that IEPs are kept up to date (keeping records of relevant assessments and data)
Arrange regular IEP review meetings with parents
Manage behavior effectively to ensure a positive and safe learning environment
Qualifications: GDQ International Christian School seeks to provide a Christ-centered, academically enriching, international education while supporting the growth of the Evangelical church in Albania. We are looking for qualified educators who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and desire to grow in their ability to teach from a biblical worldview perspective.
Spiritual: A clear testimony of faith in Christ.
Academic: Undergraduate degree preferably in elementary education and/or special education
Financial: All international staff provide for the majority of their financial resources. Most international staff partner with a sending/mission organization. Others have personal funds available. GDQ provides a monthly allowance that covers the cost of housing for most staff members and will reimburse once annually (up to 1000 USD) travel costs between a staff member's home country and Albania.

Language requirement for non-native English-speaking applicants: One of the following:
- CEFR minimum C1 (tested and certified) C2 is preferable
- IELTS 7 or above on the academic test, not the general training test (tested and certified)
- TOEFL iBT 110-120 (tested and certified)
