Description
The Math Teacher supports and advances the mission of FCS by providing engaging, faith-integrated instruction and fostering a positive, orderly classroom environment. Reporting to the Principal, the teacher develops and delivers lessons aligned with curriculum objectives, participates in curriculum development, and uses instructional technology and approved software to plan, assess, and record student progress.
The Math Teacher integrates biblical truth into daily instruction, prays for students, and presents God’s Word with love and truth. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate attendance and grade records, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, enriching learning through special projects and experiences, and communicating regularly with parents.
The teacher is expected to maintain professional conduct and appearance, attend required meetings and professional development, fulfill supervision duties, and serve willingly in ways that support the overall vision and ministry of FCS.
Requirements
- Committed Christian with a strong personal walk with Christ and active involvement in a local evangelical, Protestant church
- Commitment to Biblical values, Biblical lifestyle, and the mission of Christian education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Math and/or education; ability to maintain ACSI or state certification per FCS guidelines
- Strong content knowledge with the ability to engage diverse learners and promote critical thinking
- Ability to maintain an orderly, safe, and engaging classroom environment
- Enthusiastic, organized, creative, and servant-hearted; works well with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to meet the physical demands of supervising students and participating in school activities
