Teachers at California Crosspoint Acadey have a heart for children and youth, love for Christian ministry, and an ethic for excellence.  Our award-winning Christian school has a global outreach and we are looking for people with Christian character and a calling to impact the world through Godly, servant leadership. Classroom teaching experience and a California credential are desired, but we are willing to train those willing to learn how to become an excellent Christian educator. We are looking for an energetic and engaging high school History or English teacher who is willing to work with highly motivated, college-preparatory students, many of whom are very intelligent but English is not their first or primary language. The English classes taught will be literature-based and involve a high degree of literary analysis and expository writing. The History classes will involve a lot of reading, writing, and student interaction. Class size varies from 15-25 students and you will generally teach 3-4 classes per semester following a modified block schedule.

Requirements

Must have bachelor's degree, in the field of teaching preferable. Background and/or experience in TESOL and working with EL students a plus. Must be willing to work hard, be flexible, and want to work with highly motivated college-preparatory students.
