Job Title: Middle School Science Teacher

Position Overview
The Middle School Science Teacher delivers high-quality, standards-based science instruction aligned with U.S. curriculum expectations and accreditation requirements of ACSI and MSA. The teacher integrates Christian faith into learning, uses data to inform instruction, and contributes to a culture of professional growth, accountability, and student-centered learning.

Key Responsibilities

Faith Integration (ACSI)
-Integrate a biblical worldview into science instruction, helping students understand science through the lens of God as Creator.

-Model Christ-like character and support students’ spiritual development through classroom practices, prayer, and relationships.

-Support the school’s spiritual life through participation in chapel, devotions, and Christian service activities.

Classroom Environment & Student Support
-Create a safe, respectful, inclusive, and Christ-centered classroom environment.

-Apply effective classroom management strategies consistent with school policies.

-Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and age-appropriate pastoral care.

-Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding student progress and well-being.

Professional Responsibilities & School Improvement (MSA Focus)
-Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning, interdisciplinary learning, and professional learning communities (PLCs).

-Participate in continuous school improvement initiatives, self-study processes, and accreditation reviews.

-Engage in ongoing professional development aligned with school goals and accreditation standards.

-Contribute to extracurricular programs, science fairs, clubs, and educational field trips.

-Adhere to child safeguarding, health and safety, and ethical standards.

Requirements

Qualifications Required
-Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field.

-Valid teaching certification (U.S. state license or equivalent preferred).

-Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the middle school level.

-Personal Christian faith with active church involvement and agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith.

Preferred
-Experience in an ACSI- and/or MSA-accredited school.

-Familiarity with NGSS, STEM integration, and inquiry-based science instruction.

-International school or multicultural teaching experience.
