Job Title: Christian School Music Teacher
Location: High Point Baptist Academy
Position Type: Part-Time ( tentative schedule would include 16-24 hours a week)
Job Summary:
High Point Baptist Academy seeks a dedicated Christian Music Teacher to inspire and educate students in grades 6th-12th through a biblically grounded music curriculum. The ideal candidate will foster musical skills, spiritual growth, and a love for worship in a Christ-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach music theory, vocal and instrumental skills, and music history aligned with Christian values.
Provide individual lessons and group instruction tailored to diverse skill levels for vocal and instrumental classes /courses.
Lead and direct school choirs, secondary band, ensembles, and/ or worship teams for chapel services and special events.
Integrate biblical principles into music lessons and encourage students’ spiritual development.
Plan and organize concerts and musical performances showcasing student talents.
Collaborate with other faculty to support the overall mission of High Point Baptist Academy.
Maintain and care for musical instruments and classroom resources.
Encourage student participation in local and regional Christian music events and competitions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Worship Arts, or related field preferred.
Strong Christian faith consistent with the school’s doctrinal statement.
Experience teaching music in a Christian school or church setting is highly desirable.
Ability to teach a variety of musical styles including sacred and contemporary worship music.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Commitment to fostering a positive, nurturing, and discipling classroom environment.
