Description

The spiritual life of the Director shall be one of commitment, dedication, leadership and high ethical standards. The Director will also support our Core Values and Statement of Christian Faith.  On a daily basis the person holding this position should spiritually encourage, uplift, support, and direct the teachers, staff, students and parents in the Preschool.

• Participate in new teacher training and support
• Oversee teachers in the classroom
• Stay current with state regulations and licensing requirements, ensuring that the preschool is consistently compliant
• Oversee professional growth for teachers including weekly staff meetings
• Contact substitute teachers as needed for teachers who call in sick
• Evaluate teachers
• Highlight staff accomplishments in various publications
• Create schedules for faculty on campus (duty, devotions, chapel, staff meetings, etc.)
• Keep preschool parents informed of upcoming events and news about the preschool
• Maintain a positive and healthy work environment where teachers and staff are respected and celebrated
• Assist in the classroom as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized site and assume responsibility for completing the duties required to maintain an orderly facility
• Work with the Preschool Administrative Assistant in communicating tasks for them to complete
• Remain current on issues and trends in early childhood education
• Lead program development and change
• Other duties as assigned.
