Job Summary
TKA is a Christ-centered school grounded in a Biblical worldview, and we are looking for a Receptionist who is a follower of Jesus Christ and is dedicated to the school’s Christ-centered mission. The primary responsibility of this position is to greet, direct, and answer initial questions from callers, parents, and visitors. The person in this position must be able to prioritize and work in a busy environment while also creating a warm and welcoming environment.
Requirements
Essential Job Functions
Regular Activities
- Greet and assist visitors and assist with Wi-fi guest access
- Answer and transfer phone calls cheerfully and courteously
- Collect and distribute messages, incoming mail, and packages
- Set vacation and office closed voicemail and signage for all office closures
- Maintain visitors’ logs and issue guest badges when necessary
- Monitor security video feed
- Assist with receiving and mailing of packages and letters
- Keep office lobby neat and tidy; water lobby plants weekly
- Support Substitute Teacher Check-in
- Provide administrative and clerical support as needed
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous administrative support preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent skills in communicating both orally and in written form
- Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through
- Able to work both independently and in a team setting
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite; comfortable learning new software

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Required to use the computer throughout the day
- Work will be performed from the campus
- Will move throughout the campus during the day
- May occasionally have to lift up to 40 pounds
- Work is generally performed, Year-round Monday-Friday from 7:15 am to 3:45 pm
- This position will occasionally require you to work nights, weekends, and overnights (for trips/events). As much advance notice as possible will be provided.

- Pay Grid: Admin 1
- Pay Grid Range: $19.64-$22.56
- This position is paid based on a preset salary grid, and the actual salary will be determined by applicable education and experience as determined by the Human Resources department. The starting pay listed reflects this position's minimum experience and education requirements. The top pay range represents the top of the pay grid for this position. It is rare for a candidate to enter this position at the top of the pay grid. Most candidates can expect to enter in the lower to middle section of the pay grid, depending on experience and education.
