Description
RFIS is a Christian school located on a large, semi-forested campus near the capital city of Cameroon. It's student body is comprised of children from over 7 different nations. The students are an even blend of expat missionary families, national mission/church leaders and the international business community. RFIS is looking for a Director who will have a passion for discipleship and education for all of these children.
An ideal candidate would provide leadership and vision for the school community, lead the administrative team, and implement board and operational policies. Candidates must raise support or self-fund. Ideal start date is May 2025 to prepare for the 2025/26 school year.
Requirements
- A sincere and growing personal faith in Christ and a strong commitment to the great commission.
- Agreement with RFIS' statement of faith.
- Master's degree in Educational Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Must be willing to accept an initial 2 year commitment.
- An ideal candidate would have international experience and would speak French.
- Must serve or be seconded to a Christian mission organization presently serving in Cameroon.

Planning for the school began at the 1987 conference of the members of SIL in Yaounde, Cameroon. The mission of SIL in Cameroon requires a long-term commitment, which often keeps expatriate families overseas for many years. SIL members determined to establish an international secondary school by September 1991, to help them balance their God given responsibilities to their children and to their linguistic and Bible translation ministry in Cameroon.
