Description

Lighthouse Primary & Secondary School is seeking a Secondary School Counselor to support student wellbeing and deliver a strong, preventative pastoral care and counseling program within our Christian School.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Individual student counseling (stress, conflict, wellbeing, academic pressure)
• Design and deliver whole-school programs (Life Skills, Health, Mental Health Awareness, exam support)
• Small groups & presentations (bullying, grief, self-worth, social skills, resilience)
• Partner with families and support student goal-setting and future planning
• Collaborate with staff and leadership in critical incidents and student care planning
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and maintain confidential counseling records

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is:

• Student-centered, compassionate, and professional
• Skilled in adolescent counseling and preventative education
• A strong collaborator with staff and families
• Committed to child safeguarding and confidentiality
• Able to serve within a Christian school environment
