Role Description
Lighthouse Primary and Secondary School is seeking to employ a committed and caring full-time University and Career Counsellor.
The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding secondary students as they explore subject choices, post-secondary education options, and future career pathways. This role requires a student-centred approach, strong organisational skills, and a genuine passion for supporting young people in planning their futures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group guidance to secondary students on subject choices, university applications, and career pathways
- Support students in developing self-awareness, goal setting, and decision-making skills
- Build relationships with tertiary institutions and keep students informed of local and international opportunities
- Organise a career expo, as well as other related college and career events
Requirements
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification, Bachelors or Masters Degree in school counselling, education, or a related field
- Experience working with adolescents in a school setting
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- A passion for guiding young people as they plan their future
