Job Title: Christian School Spanish Teacher
Location: High Point Baptist Academy
Position Type: Part-Time / Contracted
Job Summary:
High Point Baptist Academy seeks a dedicated Christian Spanish Teacher to inspire and educate students in grades 6th-12th through a biblically grounded Spanish language curriculum. The ideal candidate will foster language skills, cultural understanding, spiritual growth, and a love for learning in a Christ-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Spanish language skills including speaking, listening, reading, and writing aligned with Christian values.
Provide individual lessons and group instruction tailored to diverse skill levels.
Incorporate Hispanic culture and history into lessons to enrich student learning.
Integrate biblical principles into Spanish lessons and encourage students’ spiritual development.
Plan and organize cultural events or activities that showcase student learning.
Collaborate with other faculty to support the overall mission of High Point Baptist Academy.
Maintain and care for classroom resources and instructional materials.
Encourage student participation in local and regional language and cultural events or competitions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Education, Foreign Language, or related field preferred.
Strong Christian faith consistent with the school’s doctrinal statement.
Experience teaching Spanish in a Christian school or church setting is highly desirable.
Ability to teach various proficiency levels and use diverse instructional methods.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Commitment to fostering a positive, nurturing, and discipling classroom environment.
Reports To: Head of School
