The Superintendent oversees the operations of the entire school, making decisions and policies that benefit the students, staff and families of Victory Christian Schools. The Superintendent works closely with the School Board to cast and execute vision for the success of the school.

Requirements
BOARD RELATIONSHIP
- Assist the Board of Directors with strategic and long-range planning.
- Attend and report on the progress and status of the school at monthly board meetings as well as the Annual Business Meeting.
- Participate as an ex-officio member of each standing committee of the Board, although not serving as chair for any committee.
- Recommend policies for the further development of the school.
- Present a projected calendar to the Board for the following academic year.
- Implement board policies, budget, and directives to meet the spirit and the intent of the Board.
- Prepare an annual budget for the operation of the school (working with Business Manager)
- Receive curriculum recommendations from principals or department heads and submit to the Board for approval.
- Serve as educational consultant to the Board in regards to the school’s educational mission.
- Inform the Board of essential school matters and implement / communicate Board decisions to faculty and staff.
FACULTY
- Manage and work with the Deans of Students and Dean of Organizational Leadership
- Responsible for recruiting and hiring faculty and administrative staff for the Elementary/ Jr High/High School campus.
- Oversee the high school faculty and administrative staff for the Elementary/ Jr High/High School campus in performing their duties and development.
- Provide discipline for Jr High/High School students as needed and appropriate with the support of Deans of Students
- Maintain an understanding of current trends in education.
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Oversee the interview and acceptance process for new students and families.
- Maintain a physically and emotionally positive work/learning environment. Administer rules and procedures promptly, fairly, and consistently per student handbook. Promote good relationships among the administration, faculty, staff, parents, and students.
- Provide leadership, oversight, and guidance for development programs in community relations, fundraising, marketing, admissions, student recruitment and retention, publications, and other projects as may be necessary.
- Maintain good relationships with the appropriate state, local, or federal government agencies.
- Provide leadership in the development of the school campus to further the relevance of VCS; i.e. technology implementation, campus beautification, etc.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of all school facilities and vehicles.
- Oversee regular emergency drills and building safety inspections.
- Work with business office staff to maintain the efficient financial operation of the school.
- Oversee reporting to ACSI, WASC and other agencies as required.
- Oversee all school communication regarding school safety, workplace injuries, etc.
- Provide supervision and evaluation to direct reports.
PROFESSIONAL
- Work to keep the school consistent with and in support of Victory Christian’s Statement of Faith.
- Provide insight in setting clear organizational goals for the school.
- Provide guidance in the design, implementation, and administration of curricula, student programs, and services appropriate to the school’s mission and needs of the students.
- Set standards of excellence and achievement in the areas of academics, extra-curricular activities, and character development. Ensure the school’s programs prepare students for higher education and the workplace in the 21st century.
- Provide leadership and balance for the school's various activities (Academic, Spiritual, Athletic, Artistic) to fulfill Victory Christian’s mission.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct leadership and mentoring to the following:
- Deans of Students and Dean of Organizational Leadership
- Administration Team
- Athletic Director
- Business/Finance Manager
- IT Coordinator
- Director of Advancement
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Personal Qualifications
A believer who is deeply committed to a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ, including personal devotions and prayer.
Professional and Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. PhD is a plus.
- At least four years of relevant experience in a role in an educational environment is preferred. Teaching credential not required but preferred.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach.
- Willingness to be part of a collaborative environment and work closely with colleagues and parents.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Positive attitude, flexible approach, and a sense of humor.
FAITH/PERSONAL TESTIMONY
We are a Christian school, and we desire to nurture the students academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. The strongest applicants will have an active Christian faith. Those who demonstrate through their Statement of Faith/Testimony paragraph an understanding of how their faith and life connect will be strongly considered for an interview.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE
The Superintendent position is a Full-time, 12 month position
- 23.5 paid Holidays per year
- 4 weeks paid vacation per year
- Salary, $100k + based on experience
