Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree or be close to completing their program of study.

TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITIONS: Full-time Elementary Teacher (7th-12th Grade) or Full-time Secondary Teacher (7th-12th Grade)
REPORTS TO: Head of School/Administration/High School Principal/Lead Teacher

To provide an educational experience leading to the formation of the character of Christ in the lives of students, which includes wisdom, knowledge, and love and to facilitate a Christ-centered curriculum based on Biblical truth that will result in clear, critical thinking, and a Christian world-view in our graduates.
To seek, by personal example and precept, to inspire students, parents, and staff in Christian faith and living, all the while working toward increased educational quality.
POSITION SUMMARY
The OVCA teacher/coach/staff member is a mission critical vocational minister of OVC/A and commissioned disciple maker, leading students towards a Biblical worldview through the various academic disciplines taught, including electives, co and extra curricular activities, clubs, and programs.
Teachers are responsible for classes of an average of approximately 25 +/- students per grade level.
This is a full-time position.
Elementary teachers are responsible for multiple subjects in a traditional elementary classroom setting.
Secondary teachers are responsible for five teaching periods plus a home room period, a flex period, and a prep period.
OVCA is on a traditional academic calendar from mid-August through early June.
