School Overview
Williston Trinity Christian School (WTCS) is a multi-denominational Preschool-12th grade Christian school located on one campus in Williston, ND with an enrollment of approximately 250 students.
Candidates must give evidence of a personal and mature faith in, and evidence of a strong commitment to, the Lord Jesus Christ, as well as affirm agreement with WTCS’s mission, faith, and other foundational statements. The school offers a dependent child tuition discount, small class sizes, and a nurturing environment.

Upper School Social Studies Teacher
Upper School classroom teachers at WTCS report directly to the 6-12 Principal. Teachers are expected to demonstrate excellence in all teaching areas, wholeheartedly share the Gospel, and disciple students. The teacher prays for, cares for, and teaches the whole child, including the spiritual, academic, physical, and social/emotional needs of each student. The teacher should possess or qualify for a ND teaching license and an ACSI teaching certificate.
Salary and Benefits
- Starting salary (at 0 years experience) is $40,000 (w/BA), $45,000 (w/master’s), and $50,500 (w/doctorate). For experienced teachers, WTCS recognizes up to 10 years prior experience. A typical annual step increase of salary is 3-5% per year of WTCS service. Teachers benefit from a paid personal/sick leave policy and a significant discount in dependent tuition.

- Teaching
- Create and execute lessons, unit plans, and year-long plans for a full load of six (6)courses
- Map curriculum utilizing Curriculum Trak
- Diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment of student learning
- Updating PowerTeacher Pro (gradebook) regularly
- Analyzing student performance data including classroom assessment and NWEA MAP testing
- Proactively communicating with parents student successes and concerns
- Create a learning environment that is developmentally appropriate, and safe that values every student
- Spiritual
- Communicate/Demonstrate a clear testimony and visible Christian commitment
- Demonstrate spiritual maturity including knowledge of the Bible
- Model Christlike character and love
- Integrate biblical principles into all subject areas
- Supervision
- Implement effective classroom management plans
- Serve as a class advisor, coach an activity, and generally supervise students in activities as determined by the Principal
- Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Leadership team to accomplish school-improvement goals
- Collaborate with teaching colleagues in similar grade levels or subject areas
- Work successfully with various team members to consistently improve all school areas
- Accreditation
- Complete the Christian Philosophy of Education (CPoE) requirements as outlined by Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)
- Complete required curriculum mapping in Curriculum Trak
- Participate on a Domain Sub-Committee Team and write relevant portions of the ACSI Self-Study
