The International Academy of Suriname is seeking an ESL Teacher to join our team. You will work closely with students, families, and teachers to provide support and guidance for academic, spiritual and socio-emotional development. We offer a salary plus free housing, utilities, phone, internet, and health and dental care insurance. Also, the first and last air flight costs are covered.
Key responsibilities
Teach English language skills to non-native speakers, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of individual students.
Assess student progress through regular quizzes, tests, and assignments.
Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their language skills.
Create a positive learning environment that promotes active participation, critical thinking, and creativity.
Use a variety of teaching methods, materials, and technology to engage students and enhance their learning.
Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student learning and development.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress in a timely manner.
Communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed about their child's progress and provide guidance on how they can support their child's learning.
Requirements
Holds a university bachelor’s degree, preferably from a Christian Teaching college in the US or Canada
