The Primacy Collegiate Academy is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Learning Support Teacher to join our growing Grades 1–8 program, the Primacy-Coupang Pathways Academy (PCPA).
PCPA provides a supportive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment grounded in Christian values. We believe that every child is uniquely created, worthy of respect and care, and capable of meaningful growth. The Learning Support Teacher will play an important role in helping students with diverse learning, behavioral, and developmental needs successfully access the classroom and school community.
Requirements
Provide individualized and small-group learning support for students with diverse learning needs.
Support students with academic, behavioral, socio-emotional, and self-regulation needs.
Work alongside classroom teachers to implement appropriate accommodations, interventions, and individualized learning plans.
Observe and monitor student progress and maintain clear documentation of interventions and outcomes.
Develop and reinforce positive replacement behaviors, routines, and self-regulation strategies.
Assist students in successfully participating in inclusive classroom activities.
Collaborate closely with teachers, school leadership, and families to provide consistent student support.
Respond calmly, professionally, and compassionately to challenging behaviors.
Contribute to a safe and nurturing school environment for all students.
Model Christian values through patience, kindness, integrity, compassion, and respect in daily interactions with students, colleagues, and parents.
Communicate with parents on student progress, providing regular updates, constructive feedback, and practical strategies to support the student's continued development at home and at school.
