Florida Christian School is a highly rated 3K-12th grade Christian school located in Miami, Florida. Our mission is
to develop well-rounded students through excellent academics and extracurricular activities, while seeking to
win the lost to Christ and equip Christians with the skills and the knowledge to change the world for Christ. With
nearly 1,200 students enrolled, we provide a caring and nurturing environment for students to grow academically,
socially, and spiritually by focusing on three core values: faith, character, and success.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s Degree or higher, preferably in Educational Administration or Leadership.
- 5-10 years of experience in educational administration, preferably in a Christian school environment (or
equivalent senior leadership experience).
- 3-5 years of classroom teaching experience.
- Successful experience growing and improving programs, enrollment, and/or financial support.
- The Head of School is charged with the responsibility of the efficient and effective operation of the school under
the leadership of the FCS Board of Directors. This position is responsible for all aspects of student life, parent
participation, facilities, faculty, and staff

EXPECTATIONS OF THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
- Develop a Strategic Plan with the board that will improve curricular and co-curricular offerings at FCS to
attract and retain the best mission-aligned faculty and students.
- Build and uphold relationships with key stakeholders, including the school board, current and potential
donors, faculty and staff, administrators, students, parents, and community partners.
- Maintain the Christian distinctiveness of FCS, further establishing an authentic Christian community and a
magnetic, nurturing spiritual climate that is a clear differentiator from the public school system.
- Lead continuous improvement of best-in-class college and career preparation. Serve the entire student body
with excellence, which includes both highly exceptional students and those with learning differences.
- Optimize current finances, and grow and diversify funding streams to ensure that Florida Christian School
advances while remaining accessible and affordable for families.
- Develop a new campus master plan (site plan, building plan).
- Continue to improve all aspects of the school to enhance the overall quality of instruction and student life,
including the expansion of appropriate technology at FCS. Efforts to improve instruction should result in
improvements in FCS students’ PSAT and SAT results.
- Strive for excellence in all aspects, continuous improvement, school morale, collaboration, and
accountability. Nurture a culture of unity and trust while supporting FCS‘ mission.
- Represent FCS in the local community through speaking engagements, as well as serving on various boards
and committees.
- Honor the FCS legacy by strengthening alumni relations, expanding the alumni network, and establishing a
culture of commitment among current students and graduate
