Job Purpose
To carry out the duties of English Teacher under the direction of the School Director and the Senior School Principal.
To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education and Christian witness.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Typically as a English Teacher you will be required to:
Have experience of teaching across all ages including middle school and high school and exam classes. Knowledge and experience of Cambridge IGCSE and Advanced Placement English Language and English Literature would be preferable but not essential.
Have a love of the subject.
Aspire to be a talented, dynamic and ambitious teacher, who will ensure good progress for all students.
Be dedicated to raising standards and working in partnership with others.
Have the ability to inspire, engage and enthuse students in English Language and Literature.
Be skilled at fostering independent and collaborative student-led learning.

Requirements
Job Requirements:
Applicants must have a meaningful faith in Christ and a track record of service in their church and community.
Teachers must have a valid teaching certificate, which can be from their home country.
Teachers must have a minimum of two years of teaching experience in a diverse classroom.
For teachers coming from North America or Europe, international teaching and life experience is strongly preferred and usually required.
For teachers from Uganda or other African nations who have not lived outside the continent, teaching experience in an internationally accredited international school is strongly preferred and almost always required.
