Purpose: Academic Director (AD) occupy a unique place in the continuum of academic administrators, as the facilitating link among Departments, teachers, staff, students, and school leadership. General Description & Responsibilities:
Oversee accreditation processes, including timely completion of reports and compliance with standards.
Support MakerSpace program development and teacher implementation.
Supervise secondary course documentation, including syllabus review and approval.
Analyze standardized testing data and share results to inform instruction.
Collaborate with principals to implement school standards, curriculum, and new initiatives.
Research, evaluate, and implement educational technologies, including the Learning Management System (LMS).
Work with principals, registrar, and academic guidance counselor to ensure accurate grade reporting.
Coordinate with the academic team to develop and manage the school’s academic budget.
Lead strategic planning and curriculum development.
Promote instructional excellence and professional growth across departments.
Provide recommendations on academic policies and procedures.
Serve as the focal point for accreditation and continuous improvement in learning outcomes.
Date of Employment: The starting date for this appointment is January 2026. The initial contract is 1 year in duration. Renewable 2-year contracts are offered subject to mutual agreement.

Requirements
Required Education/Skills:
Master’s degree in Education or related field with extensive experience in education leadership, administration, curriculum, and instruction.
Demonstrated skills in developing and implementing schoolwide plans related to curricula and academic achievement for all children.
Working knowledge of technology and innovative ideas.
Extensive knowledge relating to pedagogy, student learning, and assessment.
Ability to work both in a team and independently to complete projects in a timely manner.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to perform strategic planning.
Demonstrated initiative, judgment, and discretion in performing duties.
Deep knowledge of U.S. standards (Common Core, NGSS, etc.)
Expertise in data analysis (e.g., MAP Growth).
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
Preferred: Experience with ACSI/MSA accreditation.
