Highlands International School (HIS) has its roots in a 2001 homeschooling program and was officially founded on February 3, 2003. Operating at an approximate altitude of 3,500 meters (11,500 ft.), HIS is an international Christian school dedicated to providing an environment of academic excellence and respect for all cultures and religions. As a proud part of the NICS network, the school's mission is to be a community of students, parents, and Christian educators working together to instill in each student a passion for truth, a commitment to excellence, and an appreciation for diversity. HIS focuses on training servant-leaders who will impact the city and the world for Christ, aligning with its vision of "a city and world impacted by Christ" and its core values of servant leadership, Christ-like compassion, and biblical stewardship.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. A Bachelor’s Degree 2. Classes and/or trainings in Biblically counseling teens 3. Experience working with elementary and secondary students 4. Ability to clearly communicate to parents, students, and colleges 5. Demonstrates a reasonable level of computer literacy, having a basic proficiency in doing word processing, e-mailing, and accessing the internet. 6. A Christian with a consistent testimony among his/her family and peers.
