Overview: Berean Baptist Academy (BBA) is a Christ-centered educational institution dedicated to nurturing students academically, spiritually, and socially. A Divisional Principal leads and manages one of our school divisions (Elementary, Middle, or High School). This leadership role will ensure that the division operates in accordance with BBA’s mission, while providing oversight to faculty, supporting student achievement, and fostering a positive school environment. The Divisional Principal reports directly to the Director of Academics and plays a key role in the success of BBA’s academic programs.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Administration: Lead the division in accordance with BBA’s mission, values, and educational philosophy, ensuring that the spiritual and academic needs of students are met. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of division-specific academic programs, ensuring alignment with BBA’s overall educational goals. Collaborate with the Director of Academics and other divisional principals to create a unified approach to education across the academy.
Faculty Supervision & Development: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff within the division, ensuring that instructional practices meet high standards of excellence. Coordinate professional development opportunities for teachers that enhance instructional effectiveness and promote Christ-centered education. Foster a supportive and collaborative environment among faculty, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
Student Achievement & Well-being: Monitor and support the academic, spiritual, and social development of students within the division. Analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and implement strategies to support student achievement. Address student disciplinary issues in a manner that reflects BBA’s Christian values, promoting a positive and respectful school climate.
Curriculum & Instruction: Oversee the implementation of curriculum and instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of students and align with BBA’s academic standards. Work with faculty to develop engaging, rigorous, and Christ-centered lesson plans and assessments. Ensure that students are prepared for future academic success through a well-rounded and challenging educational experience.
Communication & Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians within the division, providing regular updates on student progress, division initiatives, and school events. Collaborate with the Director of Academics to ensure consistency in academic policies and practices across all divisions. Build positive relationships with students, faculty, parents, and other stakeholders, fostering a sense of community within the division.
Operations & Compliance: Ensure the division complies with all school policies, accreditation requirements, and state and federal regulations. Manage day-to-day division operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facility management in collaboration with the administrative team. Support the Director of Academics in strategic planning and accreditation processes, contributing to the continuous improvement of BBA.
Spiritual Leadership: Lead the spiritual formation of students and staff within the division, integrating faith into all aspects of school life. Promote a culture of discipleship and Christian character development, providing spiritual guidance to students and staff. Participate in school-wide spiritual activities, including chapels, devotions, and service projects.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership (Education Specialist or Doctorate degree preferred). Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within a school setting, preferably in a Christian school environment. Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional best practices, and student assessment. Demonstrated commitment to Christian education and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and lead faculty and students in a Christ-centered educational community.
