Florida Christian School is a highly rated 3K-12th grade Christian school located in Miami, Florida. Our mission is

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
The Elementary School Principal is responsible for managing Elementary school operations. This includes daily activities and curriculum coordination, but it also means overseeing Elementary school staff and providing a safe, productive environment for learning. It is the Elementary School Principal's responsibility to oversee and develop class rosters, evaluate general student performance, oversee student conduct, review student performance standards, compare student scoring standards to past students and local samples, counsel students as required, evaluate teacher performance, ensure the implementation of all levels of Bloom’s taxonomy, ensure that guided spiritual implementation is occurring in all cognitive areas, review lesson plans, and coordinate security efforts for staff, students, and visitors.
Minimum requirements:
Master’s Degree from an accredited institution.
Certification as a School Principal by ACSI or FACCS.
Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience and success in leadership and administration in a collaborative environment. The position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of instructional leadership, and the skills to nurture a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements
Summary of essential job functions:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Elementary School
Establish and maintain an effective and safe learning environment
Oversee that Florida Christian School’s mission statement is being implemented and maintained
Continually encourage families and staff to create lifelong FCS families
Oversee and ensure a positive Christian climate for students, parents, and faculty
Educational and academic leadership
Supervision and evaluation of the Elementary School faculty
Supervise instruction and evaluate student learning
Assess curriculum usage and manipulatives
Oversee student activities, conduct, educational programs, and scheduling
Oversee and influence parent/teacher relationships
Develop positive school/community relations and act as a liaison between the school and the community
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with parents, students, teachers, and the community
Establish procedures for accreditation programs and the monitoring of accreditation standards
Conduct faculty performance appraisals
Manage and administer personnel development through guidance and training
Acquisition and utilization of instructional supplies, equipment, and textbooks for the Elementary School
Establish and manage student accounting and attendance procedures
Establish guidelines for proper student conduct and implement a standard of student conduct guidelines, procedures, and policies that foster academic learning and provide a safe and orderly environment
Establish procedures to be utilized in the event of a school crisis and/or civil disobedience and provide leadership in the event of such incidents
Conduct staff meetings to discuss policy changes, instructional programs, problem identification, and the resolution of exposed issues.
Coordinate the supervision of all extracurricular programs at the assigned school
Provide leadership in the school improvement and development process, and the implement the school’s improvement plan
Works to achieve and sustain at least 100% of the projected student enrollment capacity
Maintain visibility and accessibility on the school campus
Use effective interpersonal communication skills
Develop a knowledge and understanding of the unique needs and characteristics of the students
Ability to analyze data and use data to facilitate the Elementary School’s objectives and directives
Maintain personnel reports and documentation as required by state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and policies, including the development of a working knowledge of the FACCS policies and procedures
