A committed and enthusiastic Christian educational leader is required to fulfill the role of Head of Primary at Asian Hope International School. The candidate’s personal and professional qualities are important in finding the right person.
Asian Hope International School (AHIS) is Asian Hope, Cambodia’s second school. Opening in January 2010 with only 17 Preschool children it has grown to over 750 students from K-12. With the opening of our new Early Years Building, AHIS has 3 classes per year level, up to Year 1, with an additional class being added each year.
AHIS is dedicated to providing a high quality, child-centered education in a safe and open Christian environment, ensuring that every child feels worthy and appreciated.
Children at AHIS learn through a unique bilingual curriculum based on the English National Curriculum which is integrated with the Cambodian National Curriculum following an integrated topic approach.
As a bilingual school for Cambodian children, our classes are taught in English and Khmer, helping the children to appreciate and retain their own culture while being prepared to take their place as leaders in the global community. Teaching is done from a Christian worldview but always in a very unpressured atmosphere, recognising that the children come from different religious backgrounds.
The Head of Primary would be a member of the school leadership team comprising of the Head of Early Years, Head of Secondary and operations as well as the Director of Education for Asian Hope Schools. The Head of Primary would lead the continued development and growth of the Primary School, with support from the leadership team. Creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and communication alongside inquiry based, integrated curriculum permeate the Primary school learning experience.
