If you enjoy mission work and working with students please consider working at Windswept Academy.  Windswept is a private, non-denominational Christian school dedicated to providing Native American children and other children with a Christ-centered, quality academic education.  This is a salaried position that also includes rent-free housing, assistance with moving expenses, two free meals per day on school days and free tuition to children of the teacher. 

General Responsibilities:

• Teach students using the approved elementary school curriculum. Plan and organize instruction. Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning;
• Integrate Christian beliefs and values into instruction;
• Organize and manage the classroom environment to maximize learning. Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom;
• Demonstrate effective communication skills with students and parents/guardians, supervisor and other staff members;
• Implement a learning plan for each student. Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback. Participate in teacher-parent/guardian conferences;
• Be well-organized and committed; and
• Be creative and energetic.
