School Profile

Cité Lumière Christian School

School Overview

Cité Lumiére Christian School - a small English-speaking, American-style school - exits to help parents in the Les Cayes area of southern Haiti fulfill their God-given responsibility of educating their children. Our desire and goal is that those who attend will develop a Christ-centered, Biblical worldview as they study God's Word and God's world.

Our student body is made up primarily of missionary children and children of Haitian nationals in ministry. The grades offered each year depend on the student population and the available staff.

Our missionary teachers have experience and/or certification in the field of education and raise financial support to serve through one of the Christ-centered, faith-based missions working in this area.

School History

Cité Lumière Christian School began in the late 1940s as a ministry to the many missionary children on the mission center. While the number of staff and students has fluctuated over the years, parents have always been thankful for the opportunity for their children to study in an English-speaking and American-style educational setting.
