School Profile

School Overview

Baptist Christian School is a K-12 school located in southern California in the beautiful San Jacinto Valley. We are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). We are a ministry of Cornerstone Church of Hemet however welcome all families who are like-minded spiritually and who are supportive of the philosophy, objectives, and standards of the school.

The mission of Baptist Christian School is to passionately pursue Christ by providing families with a Christ-centered education. It is our purpose to serve families who desire a “Christian school education” for their children, not simply a “private school education.” Baptist Christian School unashamedly believes, teaches and practices a literal interpretation of the Word of God and we integrate biblical principles in all subjects taught.

School History

Baptist Christian School began in 1965 as a ministry of First Baptist Church of Hemet. After beginning with only kindergarten and first grade, the school's program expanded to include preschool through ninth grade by 1973. The rest of the high school grades (10-12) were added beginning in 1983 with the first high school graduation in 1986. In 2008 our ministry expanded to include local home school families under what is known as Baptist Christian Academy.
