Dayton Christian School

School Overview

At Dayton Christian School, we are blessed beyond measure! Blessed to know who holds our future. Blessed to support one another in times of need. Blessed to be a part of DC for “such a time as this."

As we look around to see a world in confusion and turmoil, our faith in Jesus Christ shines as a beacon of light. At DCS, we strive to be a Christian school that partners with families to help create foundational beliefs that will stand the test of time. We will prioritize Christ first while striving to continuously improve as an institute of academic excellence.

We appreciate the strong relationships with our students, families, community partners, and alumni. It is only with each of these groups’ support that we have seen unprecedented growth over the last few years.

We would not be able to produce successful citizens for God’s Kingdom without our amazing faculty and staff. We hear time and time again that the experience that most stands out to our students and parents is that at DCS people sincerely care about each soul that enters. Our goal to see souls saved will always be at the top of everyone’s list of job responsibilities.

Our focus scripture this year is Matthew 6:33. We will seek the Kingdom first. Before any accolades, awards, or notoriety, we want to grow closer to God and expand His Kingdom. We know all other things will be taken care of by Him.

Thank you for walking this journey with us. Please pray for our leaders, faculty, staff, and students. Together we are preparing soldiers to fight on the spiritual battlefield for our Lord. We have read the back of the book and we win in the end!

School History

EDUCATING STUDENTS FOR CHRIST FOR MORE THAN 60 YEARS

Dayton Christian School began with just one kindergarten class of 14 students in the facilities of Patterson Park Brethren Church under the name Patterson Park Christian School. It received its Ohio State Charter in 1965 and was renamed Dayton Christian School.

Throughout the years, DC has flourished, expanding to 13 campuses across Greater Dayton and becoming one of the largest Christian school systems in the country. DC was instrumental in advancing neighboring schools including Legacy Christian Academy in Xenia and Troy Christian School in Troy.

In 2004, the school consolidated into one location, bringing students in Grades Preschool to 12 under one roof in a former NCR training facility in Miamisburg. Today, the campus in Southwest Ohio is home to over 1,100 students in Preschool to Grade 12 and boasts over 5,000 alumni.
