Grace International School
School Overview
Grace provides an elite education firmly grounded in our core values of faith, collaboration, excellence, and service. Our students come from over 30 countries, and our international diversity creates a welcoming culture for students from all backgrounds. By fostering a culture of excellence, service, collaboration, and faith, we instil the values and skills they need to become lifelong learners equipped to navigate the world's complexities with confidence and purpose.
We are located in the heart of Dhaka, Bangladesh; Grace prioritises the children of Kingdom workers and nonprofit staff. These families are at the heart of why we serve. Join our multicultural team of dedicated teachers and administrators, who are passionate about sharing the name and love of Christ with those we serve.
Bangladesh is a nation like no other. Its vibrant colours, hospitable people, rich culture, and fast-paced nature provide many opportunities to experience life from a whole new perspective.
Amongst it all, God is at work, and it is experienced daily. The countryside is beautiful—the rolling tea estates in the North and the golden beaches in the South. There are gentle farmlands and the thriving, chaotic metropolis of Dhaka. The best part of Bangladesh is the wonderful, humorous, welcoming Bangladeshi people.
School History
In 1976, nonprofit organisations in Dhaka pooled their resources and opened the "Christian Primary Education Centre". The school was established to provide a quality, affordable education for the children of nonprofit families.
Since 1976, the nonprofit community has changed, and the school was forced to change and adapt. In 1995, increased government restrictions led the school to restructure as a division of Dhaka Expatriate Services (DexServe). As the Educational Division of DexServe, the school can operate independently and obtain visas for its staff. It was then renamed "Grace International School" and relocated to the diplomatic zone in Dhaka.
Grace enrols students between the ages of 2 and 18 and has three campuses: Early Years (ages 2-5), Primary School (Years 1-6), and Secondary School (Year 7-A Level). Our nonprofit families work in education, healthcare, food access, humanitarian aid, refugee support, and more.
Plans are underway to build a permanent campus to bring all our students together.
