School Profile
Grace International School
School Overview
Located on a 37 acre campus in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Grace International School is one of the largest faith-based international schools in the world with over 500 students yearly, whose families represent over eighty-five NGO partners and serve in forty plus countries across the globe. Established in 1999 with a vision to provide affordable and quality education to children of international Christian workers, GIS uses the American curriculum while integrating biblical truths into the classroom to ensure a rigorous education that also allows for spiritual growth. Alongside our full-time academic program, we also offer educational support in the form of adaptive instruction and access to long distance education. Our students can also participate in a variety of clubs and competitive sports as well as have various opportunities to get involved in community outreach.
Our vision is to see every student being equipped with a Biblical worldview to impact the world for Christ.
School History
Grace International School (GIS) was founded in Chiang Mai, Thailand due to a critical need in the missions community not being met. Faithful men and women serving all over Southeast Asia and beyond were faced with returning to their home countries in large numbers because of inadequate educational options for their children. GIS Founder Gene Foltz along with a number of partner mission organizations came together to quickly to address this issue. As we pass our 20th anniversary, we currently serve as one of the largest faith-based international schools in the world—with over 500 students yearly, whose families represent over eighty-five NGO partners and serve in forty plus countries across the globe
