School Profile 2025-26
Mission: Hope Academy of Bishkek provides the children of expatriate workers in Central Asia with an English medium education that addresses the uniqueness and potential of each child, and encourages the spiritual, intellectual, social, physical, and emotional growth of our students. We seek to instill in our students an ethical worldview that will equip them for effective service to society.
Core Values: We believe that each person both male and female, is designed to fulfill unique purposes, yet we are meant to value each other and work together for our common purpose, continually improving our ability to apply skills with wisdom while trusting God to transform us, our community, and our world.
Because of this belief, all Hope Academy materials, programs, and staff strive to promote the values of…
1. Each person
2. Diversity
3. Cooperation
4. Growth
5. Transformation
Overview: The school now includes more than 170 students from 24 countries, organized in an Elementary School (Kindergarten – Grade 5) and Secondary School (Middle School: Grades 6-8, High School: Grades 9-12). Approximately 70% of the students speak a language other than English at home. These students are served by 29 teachers, 2 teaching assistants, 2 counselors, and 19 support staff, representing 11 countries. Parents cooperate closely with the staff to develop and deliver our programs in ways that reflect our core Values of each person, diversity, cooperation, growth and transformation. Rigorous academic life is punctuated by weekly assemblies, frequent celebrations and student-initiated special events.
Our Philosophy of Education: Education's highest purpose is to help students attain maturity by trusting God’s guidance to use their skills and gifts with wisdom. As people made in God’s image, we have the responsibility to learn so that we can make wise decisions in a changing world.
Education is a tool that God can use to build our:
1. Humility in seeing that there is always more to learn;
2. Hope in taking risks for the sake of something greater;
3. Courage in moving toward challenges despite our weaknesses;
4. Faithfulness in perseverance despite failure;
5. Awe at the glory of God displayed in every aspect of creation.
In godly wisdom, we find joy in lovingly, responsibly, creatively, and consistently finding ways to restore and build our communities.
