Heritage International School

School Overview

Welcome to Heritage International School, a thriving and dynamic Christian international school located in the beautiful suburbs of Kampala, Uganda.

Heritage is a unique school. We care deeply about the students who come here, and look at providing an education program that grows and develops the whole child: spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. We want our students to leave Heritage with a world-class education, a secure sense of their identity, and an excitement about their future, and all the skills they need to thrive in the world outside of school. We are inclusive, we celebrate success, we support those who need it and we build relationships here that will last a lifetime. We never forget that our central mission is to share the good news of Jesus Christ with all who come through our gate.

Although growing and changing, we still believe we are a family and building relationships with parents and guardians is more important to us than ever before.

The best advert for our school is our students! So please, come and have a look round our wonderful campus and see our thriving school community in action!

The school recently celebrated its 25th anniversary and is looking to grow towards its full capacity. The school is accredited by the Uganda Ministry of Education and Sports alongside Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA).

Our curriculum is truly international: we follow the UK’s EYFS in Early Years and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) in Elementary. Singapore Math is taught Kindergarten – Grade 10. In secondary students work towards their High School Diploma and have the option to complete IGCSE and AP courses and exams. Heritage is also a testing site for the SAT.

School History

Founded by a small group of missionary mothers who wanted to give their children a Christian education, the school now enjoys a 15 acre campus, a growing diverse student population of about 450 from over 30 countries and a talented and dedicated team of teachers and administrators from all over the world. Our classes are kept to a maximum of 20 students and we are currently double-streamed from K-Grade 11.

We offer a comprehensive health benefits insurance plan, paid vacation and sick days, as well as free lunch every work day. We also feel that we provide a safe, happy, and beautiful working environment. Our campus is like no other!
